While in the Woodstock NY area this weekend, I saw this old cash register in a barn and I so appreciated it’s design.  When I was a child, I used to love watching the grocery store clerks work their cash registers.  I wanted to work at a grocery store, just so I could push those buttons. I profoundly believe that all children LOVE to push buttons…whether it is on an elevator or anywhere.  Now we have scanners that add up our purchases at the supermarkets, but there is something lovely about the old buttons on a cash register.
